New Study - Foreclosures' Impact on Families

The National Council of La Raza and the Center for Community Capital at UNC have published The Foreclosure Generation: The Long-Term Impact of the Housing Crisis on Latino Children and Families.   This unique study draws on interviews of families who lost homes to foreclosure to provide detailed descriptions of the financial, physical and emotional toll suffered by foreclosed homeowners.  This research will provide a vital missing piece in any discussion of the costs and benefits of policy responses to the foreclosure crisis.

I wonder why there are many issues in the society nowadays,some are good while others are bad.It's just that things are happening every now and then so we need to be aware of that.Like what had happened in the homeowners who suffered in foreclosure,that's why they are in the situation wherein they need to look for the best possible solution to escape from it.How I wish th President will listen to their problems and help them.I remembered the credit card act imposed by President Obama who sees to it that everything will be in place so as to have equality and fairness.Everyone should be aware of what they are and aren't entitled to under the Credit CARD Act, and credit card companies won't go out of their way to tell you until they've been sued a few times for non-compliance. (That's the way a lot of businesses work – laws are ignored until they get caught.) For instance, you can't have any rates raised on you or limits cut without 45 days notice at least. They also can't change terms of the original contract.There have been a lot of accusations of predatory lending over the last few years, some at mortgage companies, or at payday loans lenders, though credit card companies could be construed as the most predatory of all.
