I agree with you, Giselle. It should be not compulsory. Why should we pay for services that don't need in the first place? If there's an option of switching the service to other people who can't pay, then I'll do that.

Why not let the Act offer several kinds of policies, some including maternity services and some without. The premiums would vary accordingly.
Not all women have the same needs and it is absurd to place under a "Women's Health Rights" label something which concerns only a portion of all women. Women who can no longer become pregnant should not have to pay for a service that they will never need.
As this argument stands, it would be like forcing all drivers to pay insurance premiums at luxury car rate even if they drive a basic compact. It is plain DUMB! Well not for the insurance companies of course...
